“Chad Condit Hits The Campaign Trail”

Chad Condit

California's newly drawn 10th Congressional District is familiar territory for Chad Condit. Born and raised in Ceres, Condit spent his formative years walking precincts and working phone banks for his father, former Congressman Gary Condit. Later he become Chief of Staff for Assembly Member Dennis Cardoza, whose district included much of the same area Condit now hopes to represent. The 10th District includes the cities of Turlock, Ceres, Patterson, Newman, and Tracy along with portions of Modesto. Manteca, Escalon and Ripon makeup the southern portion of the district.

The campaign is currently putting together a series of video messages designed to make clear to voters that Condit is indeed the independent in this race. “My opponents have not stated a single position so far in this campaign,” he says in the first video recently launched on his campaign website. He goes on to stake out his position as an independent and the need for an independent voice in Washington, free of party influence. “I sense a strong need in the district that people are hungry for true independence, a new politics in Washington that is much less about political parties and more about the country,” Condit Said. “ If we have another decade like the past decade, a third party will emerge,” he added.

Many family members and long time friends are onboard with Condit's effort to win a seat in Congress. His son Chance recently became campaign manager and sister Cadie is serving as press secretary. Friends have organized meet and greets in their homes and throughout the district. The candidate has a full schedule of parades, forums, and campaign events in the coming months, with voter contact taking top priority. Being no stranger to the campaign trail, Condit feels at ease greeting voters and listening to the concerns they have on issues that affect them and their families. He will gladly pose for the requisite picture with friends and supporters.

Since declaring his candidacy, Condit has been busy visiting with voters through out the district. His message of less government and more local control is resonating with independents and moderates alike. A series of “Chats With Chad” are currently taking place through out the district. Voters can catch up on the latest campaign news and events by visiting Condit for Congress on Facebook or Twitter.
